Tony Morgan - How the Creative Stay Creative - Tony shares and Inc.com story about innovation.

Carey Nieuwhof - Self-Feeders - Carey talks about the question of "Who is responsible for your spiritual growth?"

    Friday Five

Here are my five favorite blog posts from the week:

Perry Noble - Sunday Night Reflections - Perry talks about another pastor who celebrated the fact that NewSpring is launching a campus 2 miles from his church.  Gotta love that kingdom heart.

Orange Families - All Access - Recruiting Staff & Volunteers - Great thoughts from Adam about how to find the right people.

Craig Groeschel - Developing People - I need to put together a document of all the powerful things I'm learning from Craigh otherwise I'll forget because it's too much.

Ben Arment - My Heart for Struggling Church Planters - I've enjoyed Ben's thoughts about the "spiritual fertility" of an area and I'm still waiting for him to post his thoughts on the practical side of that.

Carlos Whittaker - The Day Jesus Saved My Twitter - Carlos was able to get boarding for the night because of twitter.  That's cool.  You can follow me at www.twitter.com/nickblevins - but 1500 people aren't following me.

There you have it.....just in time.

    Friday Five

Yes, I'm doing a Friday Five while I'm on vacation.  I had already earmarked some blog posts before we left.  I've also kept up by reading them while waiting in long lines at the amusement parks.  Jennifer reads books (currently The Hobbit).  So, here are my favorite 5 from the week:

Perry Noble - Here Comes the Bride - Long, but powerful

Tony Morgan - 25 Web Apps That Make My Life Easier - Great list.  I use a bunch of those, but had never heard of some.

Access Elevation - In The Loop - Great post about giving the right information to the right people.  It's always better to over-communicate....something I could work on.

Brian Jones - Why Churches Should Euthanize Their Small Groups - Interesting take on small groups.  Brian has a series of posts on this topic and his church's small groups guy guest posts as well.

    Ben Arment - Here's a Good Nugget - Good lesson from Chic-Fil-A.

    Friday Five

Once again the Friday Five is a little late, as it is a few minutes into Saturday.  Anyhow, here are my Five Favorite blogs from the week:

Jay Hardwick - When Good Becomes Ultimate - Church work is the good thing that battles for the place of ultimate in my life.

Chris Brown - Insights from Seth Godin - Great quote from Seth and and great thoughts from Chris.

Steven Furtick - Stop Succeeding and Be a Blessing - The first line in the post says it all.

Jennifer Blevins - Four Things - Nepotism here.  My wife's blog posts are usually always more entertaining than mine.

Bobby Gruenwald - At the Movies Promo Video - That's just awesome.  CCC just wrapped up our annual At the Movies series last Sunday.

    Friday Five

Here are my 5 favorite blog posts from the week:

Craig Groeschel - Breaking Barriers 3 - Craig talks about the importance of having the right people in the right roles to help a church grow.  His whole series of posts on Breaking Barriers is good stuff.

Seth Godin - Email Checklist - Seth poses some questions we should consider before sending an email.

Darren Plummer - The Innovative Leader #2 - Darren is a MD church planter I met at Whiteboard.  In this post he shares some points from The Innovative Leader book.  I wonder if most churches set low expectations?

Vince Antonucci - #1 At The Movies - Vince shared his favorite 20 series that Forefront has done and he said his absolute favorite is At The Movies.  We're doing that at CCC right now!

Ed Stetzer - Questions for McChurch - Ed poses some questions about the multisite movement and attractional evangelism, even though the two can be, and sometimes are mutually exclusive.  I commented and Ed replied to my comment.  The conversation has continued on his next post here.  I'm going to write a post about that discussion soon.

    Friday Five

Here are my five favorite blog posts from the week:

Jay Hardwick - WiBo Big Ideas - Underestimating God - I think we all underestimate God

Perry Noble - What if David Would Have Twittered? - Hilarious.  He left out - "You don't want to know what I just watched Saul do, all just to cut a piece of his clothing"

Reid Greven - Rehearsal Schedule - Interesting post for anyone programming Sunday services

Dave Ferguson - Basic Expectations & Missing Puzzle Pieces - Those are some lofty goals for their campuses.  I like it.

Craig Groeschel - The Summer Slump - Great post about what churches can do to spice up summer

    Friday Five

Here are my 5 favorite blog posts from this week:

Perry Noble - Notes from Rick Warren's First Session - Long but good.

Eric Bryant - 7 Million Missing Children - We talked about the importance of good information analysis at staff meeting this week. I'm big on getting the real information with no fluff.

Craig Groeschel - Strategic Disruption: Disrupt Your Rhythms - I definitely like to disrupt my Bible study rhythm because it helps me want to study, rather than have to study.

Carl Kuhl - Mosaic News #11 - Mosaic is a new church plant in Arundel Mills that CCC supports in multiple ways, one being financially.  Check out Carl's update and pray for the chairs to be filled.

Planting Space - The 10 Biggest Entrepreneurial Mistakes - I'm pretty sure I'm an entrepreneur at heart.  Probably not a good one though.

    Friday Five

Okay, I'm a little late with the Friday Five (technically it's 7 minutes into Saturday).  But, here they are:

Seth Godin - What do you know? - Interesting stuff about what every good marketer knows.

Seth Godin - We specialize in everything - Great post about focus

Cary Nieuwhof - How to Be Less Selfish - Awesome post about needing margin in life

Carlos Whittaker - Boomin' - This was even better live.....at Drive

Tony Morgan - Developing New Habits - Interesting info about how the brain works in relation to habits

Yeah, Seth Godin got a double-nod.  That's probably why he's one of the most popular bloggers in the world.

    Friday Five

Here are my 5 favorite blog posts from this week:

Ed Stetzer - Avoid Any Hint - Ed talks about setting up moral boundaries and references Saddleback's Ten Commandments.  At CCC we have the same boundaries.

Planting Space - A Good Leader Gets Out Of The Way - Doug Foltz talks about the fact that leaders sometimes don't step up until there's a leadership void for them to step into.

Pudge Huckaby - A Leader's Thin Line - Great post about the importance of delegating responsibility, and not just tasks, when developing leaders.

Tim Stevens - Too Risky To Change - Tim talks about the importance of never becoming afraid to take risks even when the stakes are higher.

Orange Families (Adam Flynt) - Adam has like 8 posts about Drive if you want to see a little more behind the scenes than you read here.

    Friday Five

My five favorite blog posts from the week:

Carey Nieuwhof - Great tips about thinking "Orange" - (CCC thinks "Orange".  If you want to know what that is check this out:  www.orangeleaders.com)

Ryan Frank - People forget 90% of what they learn in 30 days -....unless it's repeated regularly.  That's why we want preschoolers and school age kids to learn 3 things, and we talk about them regularly.

Jay Hardwick - Be what you want them to become - I couldn't say yes to the question Jay poses at the end.  I want to be able to.

Carlos Whittaker - The Little Church Down the Block - I wish all churches could work together like that

Vince Antonucci - A Horse & Carriage? (Part 1) - Well, at least I can check that off my list
